The department is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care and fostering an exceptional learning culture for psychologists at all stages of their career.About this roleWe are seeking an experienced psychology leader to join our team as the newly established Principal Psychology Educator. Reporting to the Director of Psychology, you will set the strategic direction for psychology education and play a key role in strengthening workforce capability across the General Health psychology team. The position includes significant collaboration and partnership with other senior education leads across disciplines and will work closely with university and training providers.A regular day will see you:Provide strategic and professional leadership to the education team in alignment with departmental priorities and broader organisational strategyDesign, implement and evaluate innovative education programs that advance psychologists capability and support high quality patient careFostering collaborative relationships with operational leaders and clinical colleagues across disciplinesProvide competency based professional supervisionDeveloping and progressing a psychology education research agendaCollaborating with university partners on post-graduate placements, teaching and research initiativesAbout youTo be successful in this role you''ll bring with you:Current registration as a psychologist with AHPRA and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical NeuropsychologistSupervisor endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia and extensive supervisory experienceA minimum of 10 years of experience including work within hospital or health care systemsDemonstrated expertise in contemporary clinical education and pedagogyProven ability to lead, develop and evaluate educational programs and /or servicesStrong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organisationWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
