In this role, you''ll play a meaningful part in enhancing the wellbeing and learning success of our diverse student community through evidence-based counselling support, crisis intervention, and proactive wellbeing programs.You are someone who brings compassion, professionalism, and resilience to your practice. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to supporting young people and adult learners from diverse backgrounds.As a Student Counsellor, you will:Provide high-quality individual counselling using evidence-based interventions, including managing a varied caseload while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.Deliver services across multiple platforms - including face-to-face, videoconferencing and online resources - ensuring students have accessible and effective support.Conduct specialised risk assessments and interventions for students in crisis or requiring complex support.Collaborate with teaching staff, Wellbeing Officers, and external mental health or community services to ensure holistic support.This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity. The role offers a PACCT 6 salary of $82,089.07 plus 12% superannuation.About youCurrent Registration with AHPRA (Psychologist) or eligibility for AASW membership. (applications from other disciplines will not be considered)A tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work.Demonstrated counselling experience, including crisis intervention capability.Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trusted relationships.High-level communication skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, student-centred environment.A commitment to client-centered practice and continuous improvement.Your values align to ours.
