A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityAs the Security Operations Team Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting ASC''s SSN AUKUS Build Program by leading the daytoday operations of the Security Operations team. Embedded within the Enablement Integrated Project Team (IPT), you will drive the development and delivery of Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) compliance and nuclear protective security requirements. Working closely with the Program Security Manager, you will provide strategic operational leadership, manage security governance, and ensure the Program maintains the highest levels of Defencealigned security readiness.ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise and mentor the Security Operations team to support Program security objectives.Provide expert guidance on security governance, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements.Ensure effective workforce planning, capability development, and performance management to meet future operational needs.Deliver clear, effective, and timely communication with Program stakeholders and senior leadership.Oversee and uplift security policies, procedures, training programs and Insider Threat initiatives.Manage security assurance activities nationally, including supply assessments and continuous improvement activities.Support incident response processes, including postincident reviews, mitigation strategies, and policy enhancements.Ensure security risk management aligns with ASC and Programwide requirements, escalating unresolved risks when needed.Support the security design, establishment and management of future facilities used by the program.About youProfessional qualification in a relevant discipline, with strong foundations in Defence security practices.Able to complete (or currently hold) the Defence Security Division (DSD) Security Officer Course.Minimum 8 years'' experience in Defence or similar hightrust environments, with strong attention to detail.Indepth understanding of Physical, Personnel and Information Security within DISP and/or Defence settings.Strong background in compliance, assurance, and governance frameworks.Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and mitigate security risks and threats.Proven ability to lead a security team and influence organisational change.Highly developed communication skills, capable of simplifying complex security issues for diverse audiences.Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective crossfunctional relationships.Committed to continuous improvement and embedding lessons learned in security operations.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV2 level.
