From our very first baby steps as a small Balwyn store in 1979, we''ve grown to become Australia''s largest and best-loved baby retailer.THE OPPORTUNITYAn exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and growth focused leader to take ownership of the performance and operations of multiple retail stores and services (including car seat installations) across Sydney and Inner Sydney.Reporting directly to the Southern Regional Manager, this role plays a critical part in driving sales performance, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and ensuring consistent operational excellence across the region. Due to the nature of the role, a full Australian driver licence is required, with regular travel between stores.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader who brings strong operational capability, a hands-on leadership style, and a genuine passion for the baby goods industry.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSales & ProfitabilityDevelop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed area sales targets.Identify trends and opportunities for growth and improvement.Work closely with Store Managers to optimise sales and profitability.Financial ManagementManagement of the area budget, ensuring financial goals are met.Analyse financial reports and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.OperationsOversee inventory management to ensure stock levels are appropriate and losses are minimised.Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.Team Management & DevelopmentRecruit, train, and develop Store Managers to build a high-performing team.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.Customer ExperienceEnsure a consistent and superior customer experience across all stores.Address customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.Review customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service.Services ManagementOversee the provision of additional services including but not limited to car seat installation, personalised appointments, product hire and cleaning.Ensure key performance metrics are achieved, including volume, revenue, costs, conversion rates, utilisation and customer satisfaction.Compliance and SafetyEnsure all stores comply with health and safety regulations.ABOUT YOUYou have a driver''s license & the ability to travel regularly to stores across Inner NSWYou have a minimum of 5 years'' experience in retail management, with a passion for the baby goods industry.You''re a natural born leader with the ability to lead with passion, focus and empathy, whilst being proficient in managing and resolving conflicts among staff and customers.You will have extensive retail operations experience, with expertise in implementing sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets.You''re customer focused & committed to providing exceptional customer service and improving the overall customer experience.You have strong financial acumen with prior experience in developing and managing budgets to meet financial goals.You have great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.You''re a strategic thinker, with strong understanding and awareness of the market.You''re a problem solver, with the ability to find innovative solutions to an array of challenges.You have a great ability to manage time and manage multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously.You are safety and compliance focused.WHAT''S IN IT FOR YOUIn this exciting career growth opportunity, you''ll have a chance to learn from an experienced team, getting exposure to all elements of the retail operations lifecycle.Company CarWe''re accelerating our growth across Australia and New Zealand, when we grow, you grow!Training pathways designed to encourage personal growth and professional development.Generous team and family discounts.Novated lease options.Paid Parental Leave.Employee Assistance Program.Short Term Incentive program.Opportunity to support communities and work with meaningful charity partners.PLEASE NOTEEvery employer in Australia has the obligation to ensure that employees have the relevant working rights.
