Make a powerful public health impact and get paid well to do itLooking for a short-term, high-impact nursing role that builds your clinical experience, supports, and offers excellent conditions?Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse BBV & STI to deliver culturally safe, evidence-based sexual health and blood borne virus services to our community.This is an ideal opportunity for nurses with an interest in sexual health, public health, outreach or population health, who want meaningful work, strong support, and a unique regional experience.Why this role stands outSpecialist public health focus BBVs, STIs, syphilis response and preventionAutonomous clinical role with strong team and medical supportCommunity-based & outreach work not just clinic wallsCareerbuilding experience in Aboriginal Community Controlled HealthShortterm contract with potential to extendStrong remuneration + lifestyle benefitsWhat''s on offerWe make it easy for you to relocate and focus on the work:$60 per hour + superannuationFulltime contract until 30 June (extension possible)Subsidised housing providedRelocation incentive up to $5,0005 weeks annual leave + RDO (pro rata)Supportive management and a collaborative multidisciplinary teamOpportunity to contribute to national BBV & STI program outcomesAbout the roleAs the BBV & STI Registered Nurse, you will:Deliver culturally safe BBV and sexual health care, including testing, treatment, and followup.Support opportunistic and targeted screening, including syphilis response activities.Provide client education, prevention and health promotion.Participate in outreach and communitybased sexual health clinics.Work closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs and allied health staff.Contribute to program data collection, reporting and quality improvement.This role plays a key part in reducing transmission, improving health literacy, and strengthening communityled responses to BBVs and STIs.About youYou''ll bring:Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.Clinical experience in sexual health, BBVs, public health or primary care.Strong communication skills and confidence working autonomously.A commitment to cultural safety and community-controlled health.Current driver''s licence and willingness to participate in outreach.Experience in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or postgraduate sexual health training is highly regarded but not essential.Apply now and be part of a service where your work has real public health impact.
