You''ll welcome coaching and feedback and are always looking at ways to further develop yourself as well as the service we offer.A great opportunity has become available for a Compounding Technician to join our team in our Coorparoo facility in a Full-time permanent position, working one of three available shifts rostered between 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime as required. In this role you will be responsible for the aseptic production process- manufacturing Chemotherapy, Antibiotics and Nutritional products for our hospitals and patients. This includes preparing and compounding sterile medications and solutions according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.Shifts available currently: Monday - Thursday 09:54 to 18:00, Friday 10:30 18:36Other shift times: Monday - Thursday 12:30 to 20:36, Friday 10:30 18:36Candidates who are looking to start their career in pharmaceuticals are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPicking and preparing raw materialsAseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutionsPacking of finished units for each order including final inspection of productsLabelling and dispatching of prepared productsEnsuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)Adhering to Baxter''s Standard Operating ProceduresOther duties as requiredEssential skills & qualificationsEnjoy work that requires a high attention to detailWillingness to learn new skillsAdapting to shift work schedules as neededProviding assistance in environments with defined procedures and protocolsKnowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environmentBe comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working dayExecuting repetitive results in a consistent and accurate mannerDemonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematicsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingExperience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantageTasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterityPrevious manual compounding experience highly regardedRole prerequisitesThis role is subject to the following:A pre-employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement), background and reference checks.Note: Training/orientation will require flexibility for approx. 3-5 months with shift times ranging between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.Applicants must have unrestricted work rights and be able to work for any employer in ANZ.Important noticesPlease note: Baxter ANZ has a Christmas shutdown period from 20th December 2024 through to 5th January 2025 during which all HR /TA operations will be suspended and we will be in touch on our return.
