Our team of allied health professionals drive innovative practices and quality rehabilitation so we can consistently achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients and customers.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accredited Rehabilitation Counsellor/Registered Psychologist to join us as a Contractor to provide Employability Assessments within the Life Insurance frameworkYou will join our dynamic team of allied health professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality psychological RTW services, vocational assessments and rehabilitation support to help individuals on their journey to recovery and well-being.Your Role:You will conduct comprehensive vocational and employability assessments for individuals with physical, psychological and or cognitive conditions. Your work will contribute to expert reports used in medico-legal and forensic settings.Key responsibilities:Liaise with all stakeholders, including insurers, legal representatives, medical professionals and claimantsComplete thorough, detailed and objective interviews with the claimantsExpertly analyse education and employment history to determine the individual''s transferable skillsExpertly evaluate work capacity and determine vocational options that would be suited to the individualHave a detailed knowledge of the Australian labour market to understand an individual''s preparedness to engage in the workforceClearly rationalise your opinion and provide sound reasoning that is defensibleMaintain professional independence and adherence to forensic vocational standardsWrite detailed reports that comprehensively justify your conclusions, highlighting the most relevant findings from your interview and are prepared to a legally defensible standard.Conduct both desktop-based and interview-based forensic vocational assessments, tailoring your approach to the unique needs of each referral.Apply your knowledge to problemsolve complex cases and provide wellreasoned, evidencebased decisions.This role can be completed from anywhere in Australia and will be remote.QualificationsIs this you?Tertiary qualifications in vocational rehabilitation, rehabilitation counselling, psychology or related fieldDemonstrated experience in vocational assessments and employability assessmentsUnderstanding of forensic principles, expert evidence and report writing standardsStrong analytical, interviewing and reportwriting skillsAbility to work autonomouslyHigh level of professionalism, objectivity and ethical practiceKnowledge of Australian labour market dataKnowledge of the life insurance industry, current trends and challenges for insurers5 years'' experience completing assessments, with expertise in Life Insurance or related fieldsExcellent problemsolving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering robust, highquality reportsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.You possess current AHPRA or ASORC registrationAdditional InformationWhy join Benchmark RehabilitationEmployer of choice - we are an industry leading employer, and our long average staff tenure proves thisPerformance measures - unlike the industry norm, you will be measured against the quality of, and commitment to your work, and not just billable hoursHybrid working arrangements - get genuine flexibility to work from home or the office, you set your scheduleCompetitive hourly rateBy joining Benchmark Rehab you''ll also be part of the MedHealth family, a purposebuilt collection of industry leading health, medical and employment brands.To ApplyPlease click on the APPLY button to submit your application or to have a confidential conversation, please contact our Talent Acquisition Lead Erin Mansell on [email protected] and quote reference number REF9193W.You are welcome here.Our fastgrowing team of more than 3,500 people around Australia represent a huge array of life experiences, skills and ways of thinking.
