We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The OpportunityThe Bengalla Maintenance Team is a multi-disciplinary group responsible for planned and priority corrective maintenance across all plant and equipment at Bengalla Mine, including the P&H 9020 Dragline, Liebherr and Hitachi excavators, Hitachi and Komatsu haul trucks, and all ancillary machinery. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking experienced Plant Mechanics to join our Breakdown, Mobile and Shutdown maintenance teams.Our team plays a critical role in ensuring fleet availability by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance in workshop and field environments. Working with a high level of autonomy, you will diagnose and resolve equipment faults safely and efficiently to support continuous operations.Using your technical expertise, you will take ownership of your tasks, prioritising work in line with business needs and collaborating with supervisors and key operational stakeholders. You will also be encouraged to identify improvement opportunities for the team and the wider site.Working a Lifestyle roster consisting of 12.5-hour shifts, you will be responsible for:Conducting yourself professionally, with integrity, and in full compliance with regulatory requirementsDiagnosing, repairing and inspecting plant and equipmentEnsuring work is completed to a high standard to support fleet reliabilityContributing to the development and continuous improvement of maintenance strategiesComplying with all Bengalla Health, Safety and Environmental proceduresAccurately capturing machine information and liaising with planning, engineering and production stakeholders as requiredQualifications And ExperienceThe successful candidate will have:Mechanical Trade Qualification (Plant Mechanic)Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is essential (Dragline, Liebherr Excavators, Hitachi, Caterpillar and Komatsu)A strong service background with proven experienceExcellent communication skillsBe a strong team playerSound computer skillsExcellent work quality and attention to detailAbility to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.What We OfferBengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
