The roster supported is 8 days on/6 days off, 7 nights on/7 nights off.ResponsibilitiesAs a Mine Controller, you will play a central role in coordinating underground and surface operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate execution of daily mining activities.Dispatching the underground haulage fleet in line with operational prioritiesMonitoring machine and location statuses to support accurate daily reportingManaging hazard signage and surface cone registersValidating and updating operational data based on stakeholder requestsOverseeing underground infrastructure via Citect systems and coordinating fault responsesSupporting emergency response coordination when requiredLeading responses to unplanned underground events to minimise operational impactMonitoring geotechnical systems and open pit wall stabilityCoordinating servicing of underground loaders and managing surface fleet dataParticipating in process reviews, pre-start presentations, and operator coachingAssisting with projects related to mine process monitoringProposing cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and inefficienciesLogging and assisting with IT fault diagnosisEnsuring compliance with all operational proceduresAbout YouYou''re a confident and capable professional with experience in a mine control room or similar environment, and a strong understanding of underground mining operations.You BringPrevious experience in underground mining ie Production operatorAdvanced computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and Citect systemsProven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced settingStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive productive outcomesExcellent attention to detail and well-developed communication skillsA proactive, self-directed approach to achieving team and organisational goalsConfidence in making decisions with limited information and adapting as neededA commitment to fostering a strong safety culture through open and transparent communicationKnowledge of occupational health and safety practices and protocolsApplications close 5pm Friday 13th February 2026.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
