School Canteen Assistant/Cook (Part-time)We are seeking a School Canteen Assistant/Cook who will prepare, cook and serve healthy and nutritionally balanced meals for students and staff, ensuring the overall upkeep of kitchen equipment, storage areas and cleanliness. The role is ongoing and requires working three weekdays during school term time only, with an ASAP start date.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve food for sale through the school canteen.Prepare catering where required throughout the school.Ensure a wellbalanced and quick breakfast is prepared and supplied to all squad students in the morning.Keep food wastage to a minimum.Arrange and direct appropriate storage of food and supplies.Carry out daily kitchen and canteen cleanup.Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.Follow and adhere to Kosher food practises.Personal Skills & ExperiencePossess relevant qualifications in hospitality including food handling.Experience in hospitality.Good communication skills.Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children''s Check.BenefitsUp to 7 days of gifted leave per year (Jewish Holidays) in addition to public holidays.Permanent fulltime staff entitled to a 25% school fee discount for their children (Kindergarten to Year 12).
