Who thrives on building teams that deliver exceptional results every day.This is your opportunity to shape the future of our operations, champion best practice, and lead a dedicated workforce committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvementJob DescriptionAs a Slaughter Floor Manager at Bindaree Food Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the slaughter floor at our facility in Inverell, NSW. This is a permanent, full-time position within the Operations - Production department. Your main responsibilities will include:Lead and mentor Supervisors and slaughter floor teams, building a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.Oversee daily slaughter floor operations, ensuring alignment with production targets and regulatory requirements.Strengthen workforce capability through smart staffing, training, and succession planning.Ensure compliance with all animal welfare, hygiene, food safety, and legislative standards.Drive quality outcomes through consistent processes, audits, and datadriven insights.Investigate and resolve defects, incidents, and nonconformances with strong rootcause analysis.Partner with QA, auditors, and external stakeholders to maintain transparency and resolve issues quickly.Identify risks, escalate emerging trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat You Bring?Proven experience in meat processingoperationsDemonstrated ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced environmentSound knowledge of relevant health and safety regulationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to problem-solve and make quick decisionsExcellent organisational and time management abilitiesUnderstanding of quality control processes within the meat industryYou''ll be part of a supportive, forwardthinking organisation that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
