Previous RAN surface vessel experience and Japanese language skills are highly advantageous.Your work at BMT will have a direct impact on national defence and security. You will be an essential part of the intricate system that safeguards our country and ensures the safety of our maritime assets.If you''re looking for a new challenge in 2026, apply below or reach out to our recruitment team directly.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the Technical Risk Management Plan, technical risk baseline, and associated risk registers.Manage and sustain the technical risk management framework, ensuring alignment with Navy seaworthiness objectives and sustainment outcomes.Maintain clear traceability between technical risks, controls, and compliance artefacts to support defensible risk governance.Provide authoritative technical risk reporting and risk insight to senior leadership, Navy stakeholders, and external authorities.Assure the effectiveness of technical risk and compliance controls through targeted audits of engineering processes and practices.Lead technical risk governance activities, including enterpriselevel risk reviews and assurance engagements.About YouBachelor''s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.Strong background in Risk Management (ISO 31000) and regulatory compliance.Experience working within a Technical Regulatory Framework (TRF), preferably in the maritime or heavy industry sector.Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 minimum).Why Work with Us?We offer remote, hybrid, and parttime work options, with offices across Australia.
