OverviewYour next opportunityThe Commercial Finance Manager Cement partners with key business leaders and operational management from Boral''s prized upstream Cement business. This is a key role focused on improving decision support and providing a commercial focus to drive outstanding financial and commercial results. Partnering with various teams including production and logistics for the Cement business, the role challenges the business through insightful analysis and financial modelling of the operation. The Commercial Finance Manager will highlight opportunities for improving business outcomes and works to build financial literacy within the business. The role will extend to creating value through Boral''s Continuous and Value Improvement Programs, providing independent financial perspectives to senior leaders, and supporting customer and general commercial arrangements (pricing, credit, risk, dispute resolution, contracts).This role has a Management Accountant as a direct report.Your day will involveAssist in strategy development, performance monitoring and contractual support.Own monthly actuals & variance, quarterly forecast and annual budget process for Cement Operations (Production), ensuring integrity in financial results.Promote financial understanding for all key commercial drivers, productivity, asset efficiency, supply vs. demand, investment and projects.Ensure capital expenditure business cases are appropriately developed and that investment decisions meet company hurdles.Deliver data-driven decision-making support and ensure the business is updated and engaged on the achievement and delivery of financial targets and strategies.Provide sound financial insight to operations to deliver profitable and sustainable growth across their business unit including determining cost effectiveness of growth strategies and ensuring approved capital investments deliver on benefits.What are we looking for?Commercially focused and experienced finance professional, ideally with prior exposure to partnering with operational stakeholders.Bachelor degree (or higher) in Commerce, Business, Finance or Economics, with CA/CPA qualifications preferred.Wide and deep experience providing expert advice on financial outcomes pertaining to operations in large and complex industrial or manufacturing businesses.Demonstrated ability to deliver improvement in performance through provision of financial leadership and insight.Proven commitment and track record in achieving strong financial, investment and performance results.Actioned oriented and energetic individual.Any experience supporting logistics functions will be highly regarded.What''s on offer?Attractive salary package plus short term incentive and free onsite parking.Genuine career growth opportunities within BoralOngoing mentoring and guidance from industry leaders and subject matter expertsBroaden your horizons through exposure to our integrated operationsWork for an Equal Opportunity Employer At Boral, we understand that diversity brings many benefits, and we are increasingly encouraging greater diversity within our workplacesWe are Australian-owned and operatedNovated leasing, salary packaging and corporate discountsGenerous parental leave policy and opportunity to purchase additional leave. #J-18808-Ljbffr
