Aligned with the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children, SFVS works to create safer communities where women, children, and families can live free from violence. The program provides compassionate, evidencebased counselling and support to individuals, couples, children, and families affected by family and domestic violence.Join a passionate team dedicated to empowering families, couples, and children affected by family and domestic violence. As a Counsellor, you''ll provide traumainformed, personcentred support that strengthens relationships, promotes safety and wellbeing, and fosters positive change through counselling, education, and community partnerships.This is a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours) opportunity based in Joondalup.What you will bringTo be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Social Science, or a related fieldExperience providing family and domestic violence counselling to children and adultsStrong interpersonal, communication, and rapportbuilding skillsPersoncentred, strengthbased, and traumainformed approach to practiceSkilled in facilitating groups and educational programsUptodate knowledge of best practice, current theories, and trends in family and domestic violence counsellingThis role requires a current (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance. A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us.
