OverviewWe are looking to recruit a highly motivated paediatric ward team leader to join Raedwald Day Surgery Unit based at Ipswich Hospital. This Band 6 role will require someone who is motivated to develop themselves as a leader in a supportive environment to drive improvements in care whilst supporting junior colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity to join and lead a friendly team who strive in promoting the delivery of patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service to our paediatric patients. The paediatric team facilitates the pre-operative assessment on children who are coming in for day surgery, including orientation to the unit prior to their admission. Raedwald Day Surgery is a purpose-built unit with 4 operating theatres and dedicated spaces for adults, children and post-anaesthetic recovery. There are 24 adult cubicles, 7 children''s cubicles and a post-anaesthetic recovery area. The team is dedicated to facilitating same-day discharge of elective surgery patients.The unit is open Monday to Saturday from 7:15am until 8:00pm. There are no night shifts and Saturday working is on a 1 in 4 rotation. We are closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
