OverviewApplications are invited for a full-time, substantive Consultant in Glaucoma to join our dynamic team of Consultants who are committed to providing the very highest standards of care. The successful applicant will be the second glaucoma consultant appointed to the hospital. Currently a comprehensive service is offered including all glaucoma surgeries (Trabeculectomy, Baerveldt and Ahmed implants, Istent, presiflow and other micro incision devises) and Laser treatments (YAG, SLT and cyclodiode).ResponsibilitiesWork with colleagues to provide a consultant-led service with the highest standard of careWork with the multi-professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelinesDevelop and maintain good working practices within wards, outpatients and A&ECollaborate and promote close working links with colleagues in tertiary centres, community services and primary careOffer support and leadership to junior medical colleagues, nursing colleagues and other members of the multi-disciplinary teamAbout UsWe are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.
