We have an exciting opportunity to join our Estates Department at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).We have an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance Assistant (mechanical/electrical/building) to undertake a wide range of duties within a busy and dedicated in-house workforce serving a general acute hospital. You will be based at Ipswich Hospital and travel to other ESNEFT sites as required. The role requires a highly motivated, dependable and flexible person with good communication and interpersonal skills who is capable of working to a high standard with minimum supervision.Main dutiesWork in accordance with the requirements of HTM, fire code, health and safety regulations/guidelines and Trust''s health and safety polices.Be prepared to work in hazardous areas taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.Actively participate in the operation and control of engineering planned maintenance schemes.Actively participate in the operation of the Trust''s current work management control scheme by working within the scheme including completion of all paperwork/IT required by the scheme.Work overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required by management.Undertake emergency cover on site, providing cover for all building services to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal working hours are attended to.During normal working hours and emergency cover on site, carry Trust communication devices to facilitate immediate response to emergencies.About UsWe are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.
