OverviewAre you an enthusiastic and motivated Sonographer looking for your next opportunity in a busy and friendly department? We are looking for experienced Sonographers who are committed to providing high quality, effective patient care to join our Ultrasound team at Ipswich Hospital, also covering ultrasound outreach at Felixstowe Hospital. This is a general medical and gynaecology ultrasound post with some rotation to obstetrics, covering both inpatients and outpatients. There is opportunity to specialise in fields such as paediatrics, MSK, head and neck. This is a great opportunity to further your clinical experience in an exciting, busy department which is committed to its staff and supporting their development. Find out about living and working here at: YouTube.Main duties of the jobUndertaking and reporting on a variety of ultrasound examinations on a rotational basis. Examinations include gynaecology, abdominal, thyroid, lumps and bumps and DVT ultrasound.Provide a high quality, efficient ultrasound service with unsupervised scanning sessions.Work as an independent practitioner within your scope of practice; perform scans to a high diagnostic standard, prioritise workload, formulate accurate reports, and communicate results to clinicians and patients; be accountable for professional actions.Work closely with radiologists to determine next steps for patient pathways.Provide specialist advice pertaining to the ultrasound service.Contribute to the training and supervision of staff and students within the Ultrasound Unit.Safely use all ultrasound equipment, resolve first line problems, record equipment faults, report faults and liaise with engineers.About UsWe are ESNEFT and provide hospital and community health services across east Suffolk and north Essex, delivering care from acute hospitals, community hospitals, clinics and in patients'' homes.
