OverviewMaitland City Council is recruiting for vibrant Venue Experience Officers to join our Town Hall team. This is a casual role based in Maitland, New South Wales.Positions available: Venue Experience Officer and Senior Venue Experience Officer in a casual capacity, with hours that vary based on bookings and will include work across 7 days, nights and weekends.About UsLocated in the heart of the city, Maitland Town Hall is a fully accessible and highly sought after heritage listed venue, hosting theatrical performances, weddings, receptions, exhibitions, corporate launches, school concerts, meetings and cocktail parties.About The RoleAs the Venue Experience Officer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and support for events and functions at the Town Hall and other Council venues. This includes ensuring the appearance of event spaces is maintained to a high standard and supporting general administration of services to enhance the visitor experience.Senior Venue Experience Officers are responsible for the duties above and additionally act in a leadership role, overseeing venue operations and the team in the absence of the Team Leader Town Hall Operations. They will undertake administrative services in preparation for events and act as the main contact for hirers and contractors during events.These positions offer variety, enabling you to work between front of house and back of house, contributing to operations and providing a seamless experience for customers and guests.Salary: Venue Experience Officer base hourly rate $34.69 $38.50; Senior Venue Experience Officer base hourly rate $38.86 $43.14, plus casual loading and 12% superannuation per annum.About YouTo be successful in these roles, you will have experience in providing client services to diverse audiences (e.g., meet and greet, information provision and event promotions).
