OverviewMosman, New South WalesSupport and implement our WHS framework, policies and initiatives. Part-time, 12-month fixed term role (21 hours per week). We invite you to learn more about Mosman Council.What You''ll Be Working OnReporting to the Manager, People and Culture, this is a standalone role within a small team, with adequate support and strategic direction provided.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide WHS advice on risk mitigation strategies, continuous improvement and compliance requirements to managers, supervisors and staffCoordinate, develop, implement and monitor Council''s WHS policies, procedures and safety management systemsSupport staff with safety inspections and incident investigations, identifying trends and root causes, and recommending improvements and corrective actionsCoordinate Council''s Health and Safety Committee, critical incident response and first aid and fire warden trainingSupport return to work and injury management programsDrive WHS and Wellbeing initiatives promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across CouncilWhat You''ll Bring To The RoleTertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety with experience across WHS and Wellbeing policy development, compliance, implementation and monitoringStrong knowledge of WHS legislation and codes of practice, with the ability to apply these effectively in a Council contextSubject matter expert in WHS, confident in leading and promoting a positive safety culture including ongoing education for staff and managersAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strong attention to detailSkilled in WHS reporting, analysing trends and issues, and presenting data and insights in clear professional formatsExcellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with sound judgment and the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyHow To ApplyApply now by completing the online application form below.
