OverviewLocation: Bomaderry, New South Wales. Full-time permanent position. 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 9 day fortnight. Salary: $56,401 - $63,406 gross p.a. plus 12% Super plus Adverse Working Conditions allowance.About the RoleShoalhaven City Council is seeking motivated and reliable Skilled Labourers to join our Central Construction team based at the Bomaderry Works Depot. This role involves hands-on work in the construction and maintenance of Council assets, contributing to the delivery of quality infrastructure for our community.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform manual tasks such as shovelling, screeding, raking, digging, lifting, and traffic control.Operate and maintain small plant and equipment (e.g., chainsaws, plate compactors, concrete saws, vegetation trimmers).Assist with minor construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, footpaths, recreational facilities, and other Council assets.Complete standard paperwork including timesheets and safety checklists.Work collaboratively in a team environment and respond to operational needs, including emergency call-backs.Please refer to the Job Description under the Job Attachments for a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities and skills required.Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.About YouTo be successful in the position, you will have:School Certificate or equivalent.Minimum 12 months'' experience in civil construction and/or maintenance activities.Current NSW Class C Driver''s Licence.Current NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card).Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.We are looking for dependable team players who take pride in delivering quality workmanship and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
