Be a part of it, let''s get something started.About The RoleWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic Community Response Officer - Parking. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out patrols, raising community awareness of illegal parking behaviour, reporting related issues observed on duty and enforcement of related legislation and regulations as necessary to reduce the level of illegal parking.The Community Response team is responsible for the enforcement of animal control, abandoned motor vehicles investigation, parking enforcement, footpath obstructions investigation, overgrown land, compliance programs, illegal roadside trading investigation and litter/rubbish dumping investigation.Key Skills and QualificationsRelevant qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience in an appropriate field.Demonstrated knowledge and application of relevant legislation and standards affecting Local Government parking regulation.Construction Induction Certificate (Green card), completion of the Self-Enforcement Infringement Notice System (S.E.I.N.S.) Course.Experience in issuing penalty notices using electronic devices and computer literacy.Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, innovative approach to conflict resolution and mediation.A commitment to providing excellent customer service and community education.Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and acquire new skills.Current Class C Driver''s Licence.Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.
