Working on a rota basis, establishing relationships which young people perceive to be positive, warm and rewarding. Providing advice, assistance and support to enable young people to address past and present difficulties.The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself spending the entire morning organising activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support. No two days are the same. The right type of person needs to be flexible, adaptable and to be able to read situations and help our young people make positive choices.Roles And Responsibilities Will IncludeProviding emotional support at times of difficulty or stressBeing ambitious for young people, helping them achieve their goals and optimise their potentialProviding support for young people in their educationKeeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line managerEmpowering young people and facilitating their active involvement in the decision making about their lives and futureActing as an advocate at meetings where the young person is the subject of discussionEncouraging the young person to develop links with the community, attend off-site activities and expand their personal social networkMeeting the needs of the Children and Young People, organising and facilitating Social Activities (out of school), maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning shopping etc.)Qualifications/Experience/RequirementsYou must be over 21 years oldFull UK driving licence is preferable.No experience necessary, just a commitment & passion for working with young peopleYou must be able to attend a 2-week training programmeYou must be able to work sleep in shiftsBenefits30 per sleep in on top of your wageEnhanced DBS paid forFull induction & training provided2-3 shifts per week meaning great work / life balanceYour rota is given 4 weeks in advanceJob DescriptionBedford_and_Essex_COMPLEX_RESI_WORKER.docx #J-18808-Ljbffr
