The Opportunity:Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment. EM1 $130,818 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading. Working across multiple campuses including Moorabbin, Chadstone & Waverley - onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.The Community and Social Studies department at Holmesglen delivers high-quality education and training across a diverse range of disciplines, including Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), Leisure and Health, Community Services, Youth Work, and Justice. As a teaching-focused department, it promotes a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where educators combine theoretical knowledge with practical application through classroom teaching, hands-on workshops, and practical placements. The department is committed to fostering student success and professional growth, and seeks educators who are passionate about teaching, committed to continuous improvement, and actively engaged with the broader community.The Education Manager provides educational leadership and operational support to ensure the effective planning, delivery and quality assurance of training programs across the department. The role contributes to strategic planning, operational management and business development activities to ensure departmental service targets and contractual obligations are achieved.Working closely with the Head of Department, the Education Manager supports compliance with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards and funding requirements by implementing and monitoring compliance processes, overseeing faculty data, and liaising with Education Managers and senior education staff to ensure consistency and quality in course delivery. As an Education Manager, you will:Oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of innovative and high-quality Social Science programs, ensuring alignment with industry needs, client expectations, and Institute objectives.Recruit, induct, supervise, and support teaching and non-teaching staff. Set transparent expectations, monitor performance, and provide professional development. Guide staff in classroom management, maintaining vocational competence, and developing engaging learning and assessment resources.Monitor and maintain compliance with ASQA standards, training packages, and Holmesglen''s Training and Assessment System. Ensure effective validation, moderation, audit readiness, and smooth implementation of training package transitions.Oversee learner administration processes such as enrolments, timetabling, pre-training reviews, and LLN assessments. Track learner progress, manage RPL and credit transfer applications, and implement support strategies to improve retention and completion.Manage operational tasks related to scheduling, attendance notifications, completions, and certification. Ensure all processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with compliance and performance targets. To be successful, you''ll have:An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; andAn approved course of adult teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 or AQF Level 6 with:studies in adult learning methodologystudies in teaching in a Vocational Education environmentstudies in Applied Research200 hours of supervised practicum.Current licenses necessary to practice, or registration and/or membership of a relevant industry association where applicable.WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ''employee'' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.Desirable:A higher degree, or post graduate qualifications, in a relevant field.
