In this role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to our valued customers through meal preparation, cooking, and food service.This is a hands-on position where you will assist with serving meals in a busy private school environment, ensuring every customer enjoys a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.Salary: $32.32 per hour (including casual penalties)Roster:Approx. 20 hours/week - up to 5 days across 7 during school term timeVarious evening shifts available from Monday - Sunday (in consultation with the successful candidate and based on business needs)Availability required on weekdays and weekendsKey responsibilities:Assisting our chef with serving meals to customersProviding friendly customer serviceServing customers in the cafWashing dishes and cleaning/maintaining kitchen and dining areasAssisting with food preparation, including peeling/chopping vegetables and making sandwiches and saladsSupporting the preparation and service of functions and conferencesMaintaining food hygiene, safety, and security practicesDesired Skills and ExperienceKey attributes:Previous experience in a busy caf or kitchen environment, assisting with all aspects of operations and serviceFull Driver''s LicenseReliable, motivated, and enthusiastic team playerAbility to organise work, collaborate with others, and take directionKnowledge and practice of food safety standards and OH&S requirementsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including peak service periodsAvailability for various days and hoursUniform providedStaff benefits and retail discounts (450+ stores nationwide!)Training and support for further skillsAccess to EAP services via Acacia ConnectionWho we are:Cater Care is a leading, 100% Australian owned contract catering service provider, operating across multiple sectors (Aged care, Education, Retirement, Retail and Remote services).Through our values of Care, Pride and Community, we pride ourselves on diversity, work/life balance, providing excellent career opportunities to our employees.
