We are on a mission to inspire travelers and be their gateway to experiencing the world.Role IntroductionPurposeTo champion Cathay Cargo''s service excellence across SEA & O region by driving operational performance, supplier engagement, and specialized product delivery. This role supports the Regional Cargo Service Manager in executing strategic initiatives that uphold safety, compliance, and sustainability, while fostering innovation and alignment between stations and Head Office. The Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping customer-centric cargo solutions that reflect Cathay''s commitment to moving cargo that matters to the world.Role OverviewThis is a regional role with direct exposure across Southeast Asia and Oceania, designed for professionals who enjoy working across multiple countries, cultures, vendors, and operational environments. You will act as a regional extension of Head Office, partnering closely with cargo stations across SEA & Oceania, driving service excellence, safety, and operational consistency. Success in this role requires comfort operating in matrixed, cross-border environments, influencing without authority, and balancing global standards with local realities. Regular engagement with SEA stations (virtually and on-site) is a core part of the role, not an exception.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Service Strategy & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with the Regional Cargo Service Manager to uplift cargo service performance across SEA & Oceania stations.Act as a regional product and service subject matter expert to designated clusters, supporting multiple countries simultaneously.Conduct regular regional station visits and vendor reviews to identify performance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.Drive alignment between Head Office strategy and local execution across diverse regulatory and cultural contexts.Lead investigations into regional safety, service, and compliance incidents, ensuring consistent learning and corrective action across markets.Manage administrative and ad hoc responsibilities in support of regional cargo service operations, as required.Multi-Country Station OperationsProvide operational oversight and guidance across multiple SEA & O ports, ensuring consistent service delivery.Support rollout and tracking of station-level cargo service plans across different markets.Strengthen vendor and ground handler performance through KPI governance, SLA management, audits, and feedback loops.Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies across countries to streamline cross-border operations.Support emergency response and incident management across the region when required.Regional Digitalization & Process ExcellenceLead regional digital transformation initiatives, including e-Freight adoption and paperless workflows across SEA & O.Identify and scale best practices from one market to others to drive regional process harmonisation.Leverage data analytics and business intelligence to monitor trends, drive insights, and influence regional decision-making.E&AEmergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as requiredPeople, Engagement & Knowledge SharingSupport regional training and capability uplift in collaboration with central learning and people support functions.Contribute to regional engagement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and best-practice forums across countries.Support onboarding of new customers and specialised cargo solutions across multiple markets.RequirementsBachelor''s degree or equivalent is required34+ years'' experience in cargo operations, logistics, aviation, or customer service, ideally in a regional or multi-country role.Proven ability to lead initiatives independently and influence cross-functional teams with minimal authority or supervisionStrong process thinking with experience in implementing operational improvements and digital solutions.Analytical mindset with attention to detail and adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced settings.Comfortable working in varied environments including warehouses, airport, and outdoor areas.Familiarity with international safety and security regulations (e.g., SEA & 0, HKCAD, TSA, EU standards).Preferred QualificationsCertification or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or aviation operationsLean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certificationExperience working with Southeast Asia markets or other emerging / diverse regions will be advantageousAbility to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and regulatory environments.BenefitsJoin the Cathay Pacific team and experience a vibrant workplace culture at one of the world''s top ten global airlinesTake your career to new heights by expanding your skills and gaining valuable experiences at Cathay PacificTake advantage of discounts on flights, hotels, tours, car rentals, and many other travel perks through the industryPersonal & Application InformationPlease apply with a cover letter outlining your experience and tell us why you''re interested in this role and joining us at Cathay Pacific Airways.Applicants must possess full and unrestricted rights to work and reside in Australia to be considered for this position.Cathay Pacific Airways is an equal opportunity employer.
