We have a great opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team under the ACVVS (Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme). In this role you will recruit, support and retain volunteers for various programs across the ACVVS.Day To Day This Role Looks LikeAdvertising for volunteers through a variety of channels to target local groups and peopleConducting interviews with potential volunteersMatching volunteers to clients according to interests, location, skillsProviding induction, orientation and training prior to volunteer commencementMeeting with volunteer and client on first introductionProcessing and delivering on client referrals from Aged Care facilities and Care AdvisorsProviding regular, ongoing support for volunteersMaintaining a client/resident referral listProviding regular follow up with clients and residentsPromoting ACVVS to Aged Care Providers in the region through attendance at industry eventsConsulting with Aged Care providers to identify clients who could benefit from a volunteer visitorProviding regular and appropriate feedback to providers regarding client referrals and volunteer availability and matchingPromoting Catholic Healthcare as a good place to work under ACVVS, by attending volunteer expos and direct contactTo Be Successful In This Role You''ll NeedExperience working with volunteers/groups or teams (desirable but not essential)A current NDIS Worker Check and/or willingness to get oneCompassion, honesty and flexibilityExperience in the Aged Care and/or Community Services sector (desirable but not essential)Current driver''s license and own vehicleEffective written and oral communication skills when dealing with volunteers, clients and staffWhat We Can Offer YouNot-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less taxFitness Passport discounted gym benefitsPaid Parental leaveLong Service leave after 5 years40+ Locations across NSW and QLD if you choose to moveA values-based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgroundsWe know you have many choices of employer - choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.Catholic Healthcare acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and dream.
