In this handson role, you will assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications, perform stock control duties, support inventory management, and may be involved in the manufacture or packaging of pharmaceuticals. You''ll also play an important part in administrative tasks such as reception and cashier functions for both inpatient and outpatient services.This is a developmental role, with the classification (AHA1 or AHA2) determined by your qualifications, skills, and experience. AHA1 positions are ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in pharmacy support, with opportunities for progression to AHA2 upon successful completion of a relevant Certificate III or after six months of continuous employment. AHA2 team members take on additional responsibilities including technical training of staff and assisting in the coordination of daily workloads.
