The overall goal is to reduce the risk of reoffending in the context of mental illness in consultation and collaboration with other providers, including the Child Adolescent Forensic Service (CAFS).The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Case Worker to support children, young people, and their families working with the Child and Adolescent Forensic Service in the community or at Banksia Hill Detention Centre. The successful candidate will provide social, emotional, cultural, and igno mental health support to youths and families through a casemanagement model. The position is based in East Perth.Provide social, emotional and/or mental health care to children, young people, and families who are clients of CAFS.Provide cultural liaison and family engagement where relevant, and offer cultural interpretations to the broader CAFS team.Work within a multidisciplinary environment to contribute to and enhance the provision of mental health assessments and Driver interventions.Maintain accurate, uptodate case notes, documentation, and reports in compliance with organizational policies and requirements.About YouRecognized tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Social , Aboriginal Studies, or related disciplines; demonstrated experience in the mental health sector and/or with young people.Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.Ability to work fulltime.Understanding of strengthbased approaches to client services.Previous experience in a similar role.Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children Card.WA driver''s licence and vehicle.A competitive remuneration package.Salary packaging options up to $15,900, increasing takehome pay.Access to corporate health cover via Bupa and Medibank Private.Annual leave loading at 17.5%.Extra 5 days leave per year prorata.Access to professional development and training.Insurance cover to and from work.Employee Assistance Program.Clinical and Management Supervision.How to ApplyA full list of the selection criteria can be accessed online.
