JOIN US - SHAPE LIVES - BUILD YOUR CAREERAbout the Role:We''re seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to strengthen clinical capability and practice quality across our Challenge services.The role is based in Newcastle with flexibility to work out of any of our offices across the Hunter and Central Coast. This role provides practical training, competency assessment, and clinical oversight of Challenge care services to ensure safe, consistent delivery of complex care and high intensity supports. Acting as a subject matter expert, the CNE will also contribute to audit readiness, continuous improvement, and policy alignment while supporting frontline staff with complex clinical care.There is no direct client care responsibilities for this role and the CNE will not hold clinical responsibility for client treatment decisions.This is a mobile role requiring frequent travel across NSW and QLD to deliver handson training, provide clinical governance oversight, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Benefits:Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free per year (if eligible)Fully maintained company vehicle with FBT contributionMeal and entertainment card up to $2,650 pre-tax (if eligible)Option to purchase additional annual leaveAnnual flu vaccinationFitness Passport for you and your familyBirthday leave take the day off to celebrate you!Senior clinical role with organisational impactOpportunity to coach and build frontline workforce capabilityWork across diverse settings with real client outcomesNo shift work - work standard office hoursDuties:Develop and monitor client healthcare plans in collaboration with teams and external cliniciansLead or contribute to medication governance reviews, risk management, and incident analysisActively monitor and contribute to compliance activities related to NDIS Practice Standards (including Module 5 High Intensity Daily Personal Activities)Design and deliver training, including for PEG feeding, diabetes management, epilepsy, infection control, and other clinical areasConduct competency assessments and maintain training recordsProvide infield coaching and clinical consultancy to frontline staffAttend case conferences, planning meetings, and medical appointments to support complex care transitionsContribute to clinical policy and procedure developmentStay current with best practice, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsSkills and Experience:Essential:Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division)Minimum 35 years'' post-registration experience (ideally in disability, aged care, or community health)Experience delivering clinical training and conducting competency-based assessmentsStrong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and High Intensity Support requirementsExcellent communication, coaching, and problemsolving skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesCurrent unrestricted driver''s licence and willingness to travel frequently across NSW and SouthEast QLDNSW Working with Children Check (or eligibility to obtain)NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligibility to obtain)Current Police Check (or eligibility to obtain)Desirable:Experience in safeguarding, incident management, or audit preparationFamiliarity with personcentred active support, CARE Framework, or traumainformed modelsCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalentExperience liaising with the NDIS Commission or other health regulatorsAbout Us:For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has provided disability services, foster care, allied health, and supported employment.
