We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.The RoleThe Leading Hand Bush Regenerator will assist the Bushcare Team Leader and Coordinator to ensure the team is adequately resourced, provide feedback and resolve minor issues and provide on-the-job training and skills development to staff. There will be opportunities to oversee volunteers and assist with Bushfire risk management.ResponsibilitiesOversee the safe working of natural areas by a small teamAllocate tasks to the teamEnsure that all staff have appropriate qualifications, training, resources and skill-set to complete tasks safely and effectivelyFor a full list of duties, review the position descriptionRequired Qualifications and ExperienceC Class Driver''s LicenceCertificate in Bush Regeneration, Natural Resource Management or equivalentChem-Cert (AQF3) training in the safe use and handling of herbicidesFive years experience in implementing bush regeneration projects across the Greater Sydney regionLeadership and supervisory experience of small teamsExperience controlling weeds using chemical, mechanical, biological and cultural methodsHigh level plant identification skillsSalaryThe salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step 1) + 12% super.
