OverviewThe City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest Councils in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney. We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.The roleWe are looking for a community focused Parking Compliance Officer to join CBCity. You will be in a customer facing position ensuring the safety of the community by detecting and reporting any vehicles that are not abiding by parking and related regulations. You will be responsible for patrolling and surveillance of public streets, car parks, investigate and act on regulation breaches.ResponsibilitiesEnforce parking regulations through patrols and surveillance.Educate the community and liaise with stakeholders on compliance.Prepare and present court briefs when needed.Maintain databases and monitor signage for required updates.Respond professionally to customer enquiries and complaints.For a full list of duties, review the position description.QualificationsCurrent Class C Drivers Licence.Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively in a team.Strong written and verbal communication, including accurate report writing.Proven record-keeping skills and ability to interpret relevant legislation.Experienced in preparing and presenting evidence in court.Customer-focused with strong problem-solving, negotiation, and discretion.Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step 1) + 12% super.
