This role leads a small team of field technicians who are responsible for the monitoring and maintenance activities required under the landfill aftercare management plans and any other relevant field requests.You will support teams across Council with regulatory knowledge, drive innovation aligned with the Environmental Strategy, and ensure strong cultural values are embedded in all activities.What You''ll DeliverOversee management, compliance, and aftercare requirements for all former landfill sites, including implementing Aftercare Management Plans and EPA regulatory obligations.Lead and develop the field team, ensuring competency and growth of each team member, safety, and effective delivery of operational tasks.Provide specialist contaminated land advice, including planning referrals, and maintain the Contaminated Land Framework and Site Register.Plan and deliver site assessments, including risk assessments, desktop reviews, detailed investigations, and soil/water testing and analysis.Coordinate contractors, resources, and equipment to ensure timely completion of projects and respond to after-hours landfill-related incidents when required.What You''ll BringTertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline, supported by extensive professional experience.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and coach team members to achieve high performance.Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and maintenance scheduling platforms.Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).Please visit our careers page at Careers at Casey to view a detailed position description.How to ApplyIf you''re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a forward-thinking team, we''d love to hear from you!Apply online by submitting your cover letter and resume.
