Unique opportunity to join Newcastle Art Gallery at a time of growth and renewal.Supportive team environment in newly expanded facility.Permanent part-time role 21 hours per week.In an exciting time for our reimagined Newcastle Art Gallery, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Exhibitions Production Assistant to join the team in this permanent, part time opportunity working 21 hours per week. As a member of our team, you won''t just work for the city; you''ll co-create it.As our Exhibitions Production Assistant, you will support the Curatorial team in the planning and presentation of short and long-term collection displays. This includes the preparation, installation, and maintenance of exhibitions and displays. Reporting to the Exhibitions Lead, you''ll work closely with the Exhibitions Production Officer and Curatorial Officer (Exhibitions), and the Gallery''s team of exhibition installation casuals during installation programs.You will work in a hands-on capacity across the Gallery floor and in the back of house technical, preparation, and collection storage areas, as well as undertaking desk-based administration tasks. We''re looking for someone with strong attention to detail, solution-focused problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently under instruction. This role requires sound knowledge of exhibition production, art handling, and gallery equipment.
