The Perenti Group operates across a wide range of mining sectors and offers unique career progression opportunities.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead daytoday operations within our Hazelmere workshop. Reporting to the HEF Manager, this role plays a critical handson leadership position, responsible for driving safety, productivity and team performance across a large, multidisciplinary workforce.You will oversee daily planning and workflow, coordinate closely with planners, and ensure operational targets are met while maintaining a strong safetyfirst culture. This role requires a confident leader who can balance people leadership with operational discipline, manage competing priorities and keep the workshop running efficiently across shifts.You will be leading a team of up to 35 personnel, including BTP employees and contractors, with direct daily supervision of approximately 17 staff. Mentoring apprentices, supporting training development and working collaboratively alongside other supervisors will be key elements of your success in this role.Key RequirementsTrade background with a minimum of 8 years posttrade experienceMachinist background with strong machine shop practicesMinimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role (Leading Hand or similar)Proven experience leading teams in a workshop or heavy equipment environmentStrong commitment to safety leadership and complianceAbility to manage workloads, people performance and operational prioritiesConfident communicator with the ability to liaise daily with planners and stakeholdersExperience mentoring apprentices and supporting workforce developmentStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with project software experience highly regardedExposure to hydraulic cylinders and OEM or dealer environments preferredHRWL LF licence and valid driver''s licenceAbility to commit to a Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm roster, with involvement in overseeing a second shift as requiredWhy BTPAt BTP, you are not just another employee.
