It ensures people subject to CCS supervision are safely managed in the community and aims to rehabilitate individuals by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.Community Operations and Parole is responsible for providing central end-to-end oversight of the CCS service system and includes the Parole Central Unit (PCU), CCS Practice Development and Review Branch, Statewide Community Work and Partnerships (SCWP), System Integrity and Workforce Capability (SIWC), Court Assessment and Prosecution Services (CAPS) Central Unit and the Adult Parole Board (APB) Secretariat.The purpose of the CAPS Central Unit is to ensure consistent standards and practices of CAPS are set and strategically monitored to build the confidence of the judiciary in the service and ensure quality, compliance and continuous improvement.About the RoleThe Manager CAPS Central Unit is responsible for leading a small team, overseeing and monitoring all aspects of CAPS service delivery.Some of your duties will include:Lead and manage the team responsible for the development of procedures and quality assurance functions for the CAPS Central Unit.Advise senior management of risks and issues arising from the oversight of the operations of CAPS.Manage the preparation of high quality, authoritative complex reports, briefings and correspondence on CAPS and other CCS related matters for senior management, stakeholders and Ministers.Lead sensitive consultations and negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders to influence policy and program development and implementation, and secure cooperation for planned outcomes.Ensure delivery of the CAPS Central Unit outputs, aligning with key functions of the unit, resolving complex and sensitive issues as required.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Knowledge and/or experience relating to the corrections environment.Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of high-level operational advice and support to executive management.Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment, including access to sensitive information and demonstrated absence of a relevant offence history.Understanding of the legislative provisions governing Corrections and Justice Services.For more information regarding the position please contact Jenny Roberts - Executive Director on 0448 342 435How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
