The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a supportive regional setting with strong community connections.The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management for adult patients and deliver evidence-based treatment, including pharmacological and psychosocial interventions. The role involves participation in inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care as required, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychologists, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals. The position also includes providing clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and trainees where applicable. You will also be required to participate in clinical governance activities, quality improvement initiatives, and service development, maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with relevant legislation and professional standards, and participate in an on-call roster as required.About the locationNorth West Tasmania offers an outstanding lifestyle and a rewarding place to live and work.
