We are now seeking an experienced and highly capable Rail Replacement & Special Services Manager to join our Operational Support Group (OSG).This senior role is responsible for the endtoend planning, mobilisation, delivery, and commercial performance of rail replacement and special event transport services, delivered exclusively through CDC NSW''s internal fleet and workforce. If you thrive in high-pressure operational environments and can lead large-scale disruption responses, this role is for you.About The RoleReporting to the General Manager Operational Support Group, you will ensure CDC NSW can self-deliver complex, timecritical, highrisk disruption operations in full compliance with GSBC requirements and TfNSW standards.You will lead operational readiness, resource mobilisation, onground command, customer experience, safety compliance, commercial integrity, and post-event analysis for all rail replacement and special services across our network.ResponsibilitiesMaintain constant operational readiness for planned and unplanned rail replacement and special services.Lead rapid mobilisation of fleet, drivers, depots, marshals, supervisors, radio/comms, and stop infrastructure.Act as CDC NSW''s operational lead during rail replacement and major event activations.Coordinate crossdepot resource deployment across metropolitan and outer metropolitan regions.Work directly with Transport for NSW to align service requirements with operational execution.Oversee field command, real-time reporting, staff communication, and customer information standards.Ensure full compliance with accreditation, safety, fatigue management, emergency response, and industrial frameworks.Optimise fleet and workforce capability, including surge capacity planning and resource allocation.Lead planning for future possessions, events, and disruption scenarios using forecasting and risk profiling.Own all financial elements of special services, including cost capture, validation, invoicing compliance, and reconciliations.Drive continuous improvement through structured debriefs, utilisation reviews, and operational analysis.Promote a strong safety and environmental culture across all teams.What We''re Looking ForQualifications & KnowledgeTertiary qualification in Operations, Transport, or Business or equivalent industry experience.Current NSW Driver Licence.Strong understanding of bus operator accreditation, governance requirements, and operational standards.ExperienceMinimum 3 years'' experience in bus operations, rail replacement, network disruptions, or controlcentre environments.Demonstrated leadership of complex, multistakeholder operational events.Proven ability to lead confidently under pressure in fast-moving operational contexts.AttributesComfortable with regular after-hours, weekend, and public holiday work.High field presence and willingness to travel across Greater Sydney and the Outer Metro Regions.Strong decisionmaking capability, operational judgement, and stakeholder influence.High standards in governance, reporting, and assurance.Customer-focused disruption management mindset.Strong financial and commercial acumen.If this sounds like a career defining opportunity, click apply now! #J-18808-Ljbffr
