Envisioning new technologies that are still waiting to be invented and reimagining products that support our customers and help build Australia''s future economy.See yourself in the team:Reporting into the General Manager for RBS Compliance and the purpose of the role is to lead the Bankwest Compliance Risk team to provide specialised advice to each Bankwest line of business team to ensure our retail products are made and distributed in compliance with all financial services regulations.What will you need to succeed in this role?The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge of compliance, financial services regulation and retail banking products and distribution. The appropriate candidate will also have experience in providing compliance advice to business teams as they designing products and distribution processes delivering, managing and remediating issues and implementing regulatory change. They will also have the ability to build strong relationships, and have strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience in dealing with senior management. It''s also desirable if you have:ResponsibilitiesInspire team of compliance advisers to be pro-actively engaged with business teams and providing high quality advice to achieve compliance outcomes and mitigate riskCompliance representative at Risk Forums providing compliance insights and adviceAbility to apply regulatory knowledge to new products and distribution avenues supporting Bankwest with its strategic objectivesOversight of advice provided by team members and escalation point for complex and significant matters;Building effective partnerships with colleagues across business teams, Risk and ComplianceEffective and constructive contribution to the Retail Compliance Leadership Team and the broader Risk Management function, with a focus on collaboration and embedding a risk culture across the function.Lead, manage, coach and develop your function.Actively and effectively develop your direct and indirect reports.QualificationsFinancial Services industry, regulation knowledge gained either in Australia, or in major overseas markets.Experience in compliance roles, including role(s) with a focus on developing compliance frameworks.Strong understanding of different regulatory environments including APRA prudential requirements, ASIC requirements and requirements from other key domestic or international regulators.Strong understanding of compliance and compliance management principles, frameworks and generally accepted industry practices.Working at CommBankAt CommBank, we support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with a hybrid approach of at least half your time each month connecting in office.
