Position SummaryAssembler is responsible for electromechanical and optical assembly, programming PCBA boards, test and calibration. In addition, perform rework on assemblies and/or systems in response to failures and nonconformance.This is a temporary 6month contract with potential to convert fulltime.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms electromechanical, optical assembly, inspection, test and packing of medical device using GMPPerforms routine department support and documentation functionsAccurately fills out required production recordsMeasures, counts and weighs materialComplies with all company safety policies, proceduresComplies with all related departmental and standard operating proceduresReport any problems or concerns to manufacturing supervisor, manager or responsible EngineerCommunicate ideas for process improvementAbility to complete task within specified timelineAnalyze equipment performance and schedule maintenance and calibration as required. Utilize online databases to accurately transact material, and review drawings and bills of materialTrain other manufacturing personnel on operations or functions that you are certified to performAssist the manufacturing Lead or supervisor with complex or difficult tasksAbility to work with established drawings, procedures and verbal instructionAbility to recognize issues, determine and describe potential solutionOther duties as needed or requiredQualificationsMinimum Requirements & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree preferredMust have at least 13 years of handson experience in production assembly or related experienceManual dexterity, basic soldering skills, and aptitude for electromechanical componentsBasic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (metric/standard conversions)Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Highly motivated with commitment to production timelinesExcellent organizational and multitasking skillsStrong problemsolving abilities and attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and/or hear, use hands to handle and manipulate small objectsMust be able to lift 50 pounds unassistedPreferred QualificationsHandson experience with optics/lasers in the medical device industry is a strong plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
