About the CompanyDavidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure an Azure Data Engineer to provide subject matter expertise on supporting the Data Warehouse to meet business requirements.About the RoleAs the Azure Data Engineer, you''ll specialise in Business Intelligence and be responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise data warehouse capabilities to meet evolving business requirements. You will provide subject matter expertise across the Azure Data Platform, develop and enhance Azure Synapse pipelines, modify existing data ingestion processes, and troubleshoot pipeline and data load failures to ensure reliable and timely data availability. You''ll use Microsoft DevOps CI/CD practices to deploy new and updated pipelines, work closely with team members and business stakeholders to clarify and agree on requirements and provide practical technical advice to support continuous improvement across the BI and Azure data landscape.About YouTo be successful in this role, you''ll offer strong expertise in modern data platforms, bringing extensive experience in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL to deliver robust, scalable data warehouse solutions. You''ll demonstrate deep capability in designing and developing ETL workflows, data mappings, and enterprise data warehouses, with proven experience integrating legacy systems into modern Azure-based data platforms. You will apply a solid understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, including the ability to reverse engineer existing models into BI-aligned data structures, and work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
