As the organisation continues to strengthen its regulatory posture and mature its operating model, Energy Safe is seeking an experienced and capable leader to guide the Electrical Installation Safety function through its next phase of evolution, growth and cultural change.Reporting to the General Manager - Regulatory Operations, the Head of Electrical Installation Safety is a senior management role and a member of Energy Safe Victoria''s Senior Leadership Team. The role provides strategic leadership of a large, specialist function responsible for electrical installation safety across the state, setting direction, lifting performance and ensuring consistent, well-governed regulatory outcomes. Leading a multidisciplinary team, the role operates at a senior level within the organisation, overseeing complex and sensitive matters, guiding regulatory judgement and contributing to executive-level decision-making. While the function is technically informed, the primary focus of the role is leadership - shaping culture, strengthening governance and ensuring the function operates with clarity, confidence and professionalism.This role will suit a senior leader from a regulatory, enforcement, safety or similarly complex environment, who brings strong people leadership and sound regulatory judgement. Direct electrical industry experience or technical qualifications will be well-regarded but are not essential, and Energy Safe is open to candidates who have led specialist or technically skilled teams without being a qualified technical expert themselves. You will bring the leadership capability to define a clear vision for the department and build alignment, commitment and momentum across the team as that vision is delivered.
