Job Category: Therapy Services (Allied Health)Job DescriptionJoin a passionate team as an Allied Health Assistant and make a real differencesupport clients and their families by bringing treatment plans to life and creating impactful resources!Supportive and Inclusive Team Environment working for leading NFP organisationOpportunity for individuals looking to start their journey in the allied health sectorRewarding role supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing childrenWork/Life Balance - Permanent Part-time position (0.5 FTE) - Role can be based in YeerongpillyAbout the role:Within our friendly and inclusive Allied Health team, the Allied Health Assistant will support the delivery of client-specific therapy programs and develop resources for clients and families, under the guidance of Speech Pathologists and other specialist Allied Health professionals.The role operates within a flexible, transdisciplinary model, working collaboratively with Therapy and Family Services staff to ensure the needs of our clients and their families are effectively supported.Based in our Yeerongpilly office, your primary focus will be to promote smooth and coordinated service delivery for clients and programs through strong organisational and administrative support.As a valued member of the team, the Allied Health Assistant may work across a range of environments, including the Deaf Connect offices, clinics, telepractice, playgroups, family homes, and community settings such as childcare centres, kindergartens, and schools.Main responsibilities of the role include:Interact with the families and clients in a manner that considers the needs of the client first and follows the treatment plan outlined by the client''s allied health professional supervisorPrepare therapy resources under the supervision of an allied health professional.Communicate effectively with allied health professionals and other stakeholders involved in the client''s support services.
