We also work as part of the Curtin Education Community to actively engage our local primary schools in the Victoria Park area, with the ultimate aim that Kent Street SHS is their recognised and respected secondary school of choice.Find out more about our school by visiting www.kentstreetshs.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.ResponsibilitiesJoin our team as a Gardener/Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment.Maintain the school grounds to ensure they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for students and staff.Oversee turf areas, garden beds and shrubs, and manage hard landscaping features such as courts and paving.Maintain gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in good condition; perform minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with Department policies and guidelines.Provide advice and support to the Facilities Coordinator and Manager Corporate Services on school grounds and maintenance.Qualifications and SkillsEffective communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and external stakeholders.Ability to work unsupervised, identify and recognise work that is required to be completed.Well organised, with attention to detail, a positive outlook, and able to work as a team player.EligibilityTo work with us, you must:be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment;obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; andconsent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education''s Screening Unit before you start.Additional eligibility and training requirements are outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).Application InstructionsOur aim is to make it easy for you to apply!Step 1: Prepare your application.
