They will, when required, provide feedback on education and therapy programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals in special education. They will assist the teacher or therapist to understand when there is a communication difficulty between them and a student.Suitable applicants will ideally have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to be organised and flexible in a dynamic environment. The Education Assistant - Special Needs would need to be friendly, approachable and flexible and have a genuine interest in supporting students with educational needs, and pastoral care support.They will also need to be caring, proactive, and responsive, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Education Assistants - Special Needs will work alongside teachers to ensure the implementation of the school business plan and priorities using the agreed programs and strategies.
