OverviewThe Team: The Contract Services Team provides a coordinated approach to Government contracting and procurement activities. Our focus is to provide practical advice and simple solutions when buying for Government and to assist staff in the procurement process. Our scope includes procurement activities related to building and construction projects under the Department''s Capital Infrastructure Program to the Infrastructure Services Group, maintenance procurements under the Public Building Maintenance Fund, CIP-EM and Facilities and Engineering funding.The RoleThe Senior Contracts Officer will support high level procurements and business activities involving tenders/contracts undertaken by the Section to assist with the delivery of the Department of Health (DoH) infrastructure program. The Senior Contracts Officer will work collaboratively with other team members under the broad direction of the Manager Contract Services.The occupant will:Exercise initiative, discretion and judgment within the field of expertise.Maintain the highest standard of quality, accuracy and timeliness of advice and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed priorities.Maintain a professional, consistent and client-focused approach to stakeholder engagement in all interactions.Champion a child safe culture that upholds the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
