World Heritage Executive OfficerPackage includes Clerk Grade 78 salary $113,574 - $125,720 plus employer''s contribution to superannuationTemporary full-time role up to June 2026Located at Parramatta / Wollongong or by agreementDo you want your work to make a difference for NSWWorking to protect the state''s environment and heritage.Are you keen to use your skills to contribute to projects and reporting support the Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage Advisory Committee and be a first point of contact for the Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage property (GBMA) and its stakeholdersAbout the RoleNational Parks and Wildlife Service manages over 7 million hectares of diverse ecosystems and plays a vital role in conserving the states biodiversity. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a World Heritage Executive Officer to provide secretariat and administration support to the GBMA Management Committee the GBMA World Heritage Advisory Committee and support communication between agencies to facilitate the appropriate and effective implementation of decisions for the protection of the Outstanding Universal Value of the Greater Blue Mountains Area.About YouYou are a motivated and organised individual who pays attention to detail. You will have expertise in extracting and collating information from a wide variety of sources to provide advice information correspondence and briefing notes whilst managing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders.Key Knowledge and experienceExperience in providing high level project management and secretariat supportKnowledge of legislation policies and procedures in relation to World Heritage along with a demonstrated understanding of protected area management and biodiversity issues.Demonstrated understanding of government financial and administration processes and the capacity to establish and maintain financial and project management systems.Current Australian drivers licence and willingness to work when required on weekends and to travel to rural centres throughout the property.Ability to work with Aboriginal communities and other stakeholders who have a range of diverse views and experience in managing contentious issues.Essential RequirementsAppropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant professional experience relevant to the administration and protection of Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage property or equivalent.What we can offer youNSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is a great place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge.Learning and development opportunitiesLearning and development opportunities including in-house training.What we doAbout NSW National Parks & Wildlife ServiceVisit a parkTo ApplyIf excited by the information above we look forward to receiving your application including a copy of your resume and cover letter expressing your interest and suitability for the role.Please also note to be eligible for an ongoing role in the NSW Public Sector you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
