As part of the Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, the Metropolitan Remand Centre is a 954 bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice and Community Safety.About The RoleReporting to the Team Leader, Finance & Stores, the Business Support Officer will be responsible for providing essential support to the operations of Metropolitan Remand Centre.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeAs part of the Stores and Canteen team, providing business services related to Stores, Canteen, and procurement for the Metropolitan Remand CentreAssisting in serving prisoners in the Prisoner''s Shop, organising, and maintaining special spends and updating prisoner records on Corrections Victoria systemsPreparing stock estimates, obtain quotes, organising purchases to maintain stock levels for the Prisoner''s Shop and Prison Stores, undertaking regular stock-takes, maintaining accurate records, and maintaining the shop in good order.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Experience in, or capacity to quickly learn and use, Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice and Community Safety systems and applicationsThe ability to effectively use departmental computer systems for basic word processing, email, appointment scheduling, internet and intranet functionsThe ability to produce a range of complex business correspondence and reports presenting clear, factual and pertinent information based on knowledge, research and analysis.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
