With the recent awarding of mining contracts and anticipated awarding of additional mining contracts, MMS is seeking experienced Mining Project Managers to join our open pit mining team. As a Project Manager at one of our open pit mining projects, you will play a critical role in steering the development, planning, and execution of mining projects with precision and efficiency. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of mining and haulage operations, combined with robust projectmanagement skills to ensure seamless project delivery. This role is offered on an 8/6, 4/3 or 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth or Darwin, candidates residing in Kalgoorlie are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Safety Compliance: Enforce stringent safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and delays. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with the company and industry specifications. Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures to uphold project profitability. Project Reporting: Provide regular project status reports to senior management, offering insights into progress, challenges, and proposed solutions. Skills/Qualifications Current & valid driver''s licence with appropriate endorsements. National Police Clearance. Qualification in Mining Engineering (highly desirable). Unrestricted Quarry Manager Certificate. 2+ years experience as a Project Manager within a mining environment. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fastpaced environment.
