Downer is searching for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. This is a full-time opportunity, you must be available to work a rotating roster, for example:5 day shifts (07:00 15:00)2 days off5 afternoon shifts (15:00 23:00)2 days off5 night shifts (23:00 07:00)RDO or 12 days offAfter completing a full shift rotation, there is a break of approximately 3 to 3.5 weeks before starting the next rotation. During this period, employees work standard day shifts (07:00 15:00).What you''ll doInstallation, maintenance and repair of centralised plant and HVAC systemsDiagnosing mechanical and electrical faultsPerforming scheduled servicing, performance testing and system adjustmentsCleaning, calibrating, and maintaining systems in accordance with warranties and complianceParticipation in all Zero Harm initiativesIdentifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and safety concernsPromoting a proactive, team-focused safety cultureManaging and scheduling your own work effectivelySupporting service improvement, quality control and risk mitigationWorking collaboratively with clinical staff, internal technicians, and contractorsCommunicating clearly through written documentation (timesheets, service sheets, dockets)What you''ll BringCertificate III in Electrotechnology, Refrigeration and Air-ConditioningHVAC trade certificationSouth Australian Restricted Electrical LicenceWhite Card (WHS General Induction)Valid, unrestricted driver''s licenceSolid experience in HVAC installation, servicing and repairStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsKnowledge of building codes and regulatory standardsSafe work practices, including working at heights and with EWPA team mindset with good communication and customer service skillsA reliable, organised approach and a commitment to excellenceWhy Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
